The purpose of this blog

Britain’s armed forces are now involved in a global conflict of indeterminable length. This blog is not concerned with the decision to commit to conflict, or indeed the morals of it. It is concerned only with how Britain’s services can be properly equipped, organised, prepared and supported to achieve operational success with minimum casualties.

The British government have talked of a long struggle but, have done little to prepare our armed forces for this. There must now be a concerted effort to provide what is required and to develop strategy and tactics that match objectives. The ‘make do and mend’ approach must end and the lessons of the last three years must be applied as quickly as possible.

We owe our service personnel more than gratitude. The British government and people have a duty of care to give them everything they require. I welcome all discussion on the matter.
